What’s In My Travel Toiletry Bag

Inside My Travel Toiletry Bag

I have been traveling a lot lately and have come to realize that my toiletry bag is much better when prepared far in advanced. Most of the items are your basic toiletries: toothbrush, tooth paste, hair products, face wipes, face wash, etc. What has become extremely helpful for me is to keep travel sized products packed in my travel toiletry bag at all times. Therefore, when it’s time to pack I have those items I tend to forget already packed.

Before packing my toiletry bag, I like to stock up on travel size skincare and beauty products that I already use. For example, my facial oil from Biossance is an item I must travel with as my skin tends to get that dry-hangover feel when traveling. To avoid the possibility of spillage and wasting my precious facial oil I purchased the travel size bottle and give it a refill prior to packing. I try to keep the quantity of my travel items very low. I rarely travel with a check bag, therefore space is vital. The trick is to keep travel sized products on hand at all times.

Stock Up

I’m sure you’ve been in the travel/mini aisle at Target or caught yourself eyeballing the beauty mini’s while in line at Sephora. That’s actually the best time to stock up. But don’t waste your time on products you haven’t tried, keep a look out for what you already use. Making your entire travel investment well worth it.

Also check out the websites of the products you use. You’d be surprised at how many actually offer travel sizes. Then all you have to do is refill prior to your travel plans. It’s worth it when you already know you love the product.

Here’s what I usually keep stocked in my travel toiletry bag:

Travel Basics

Tooth Brush + Tooth Paste

Razor

Face Wipes

Shampoo + Conditioner

Q-tips

Special Travel Size Products

Cerave Facial Foaming Cleanser

Biossance Facial Oil

Coola Facial SPF 50

Jet Lag Mask

Native Deodorant

Oribe Anti-Humidity Spray

Cerave Facial Foaming Cleanser This cleanser is simple and gets to the point without drying out my skin. I like to double cleanse especially when I’m traveling. Once with a face wipe and again with this facial cleanser. The travel size is perfect I just refill it when it gets low. I’m also a fan of their Hydrating Facial Cleanser.

Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil If you aren’t on the squalane train yet, I highly recommend you take my word for it and hop on. You will not regret it. There is such a huge misconception about face oil and oily skin types, but I am living proof that facial oils help to balance out our natural oils. I’ve learned that stripping the oils will make matters worse. Using this facial oil has been the best decision for my skin. Check out their site for more travel size options.

Coola Facial SPF 50 Please wear SPF! I know you’ve heard that a million times but trust me, it’s a small step in your routine that will make a HUGE impact on your skin’s future. Yes, the freckles on your face are cute but if some are due to sun exposure, then they are most likely a result of sun damage. Keep note that most SPF’s stop working at about 80-120 minutes, so please reapply as recommended. If reapplying SPF lotion over your makeup doesn’t work for you then check out these on-the-go powder SPF’s: Ilia SPF 20, Paula’s Choice SPF 30, Peter Thomas Roth SPF 45.

Jet Lag Mask Summer Friday’s Jet Lag Mask is a life saver for traveling. It has this crazy mix of vitamins and antioxidants that nourish your skin all while boosting natural exfoliation. Leaving your skin looking plump and dewy. It’s a mess free mask and super easy to apply. Therefore, it definitely belongs in everyone’s travel toiletry bag. You’re Welcome!

Native Deodorant If you read my previous blog post then you already know about my obsession with Native deodorant. I simply love the fact that they sell travel size deodorant sticks. They are perfectly sized for your toiletry bag and also a great size for your gym back.

Oribe Anti-Humidity Spray I have to give props to Ipsy for putting me on the Oribe game. Their hair products are so amazing. A couple years ago Ipsy hooked your girl up with so many different travel sizes of Oribe hair products. I instantly fell in love with the Anti-Humidity Spray and their Wave and Shine spray. Each product I’ve used feel so weightless and has a soft subtle scent. That’s a big win in my book.
