I am 6 months pregnant and it’s about that time when most of my pre-pregnancy clothes are just not cutting it anymore. I’m not one to spend a ton of money on a whole new wardrobe for maternity. But I found some cute outfits from Target that will work with a bump and be great additions to a spring/summer wardrobe.

About a week before the “pandemic lockdown” I had taken a trip to Target to grab a few things and decided to browse for some clothes to add to my spring/summer wardrobe. If you’re familiar with my blog, you may know that I do seasonal shopping and capsule wardrobes. It is definitely possible to still take this approach for maternity.  So try to focus on pieces that will be cohesive to your current wardrobe and add in belly-friendly + maternity items.

dresses

Dresses (maternity + non-maternity) are extremely versatile especially stretchy fit and loose styles. I can literally wear a dress everyday if the weather let me. I’m loving all of the babydoll dresses I am seeing everywhere. They are so cute and flattering with or without a bump.

tops

When it comes to tops, try to stick with oversized or just go with maternity. Mostly because regular tops nowadays are usually too short and don’t fully cover the belly when worn with maternity bottoms. Luckily, Target has some great maternity options for basic and casual tops.

jeans

I personally am not a huge fan of maternity jeans, but these Target inset panel maternity jeans get the job done. They were not the best at the beginning of my pregnancy but as my belly has grown, they seem to fit much better. Definitely buy your pre-pregnancy size.
