Fall Accessories For A Capsule Wardrobe
When shopping for Fall it’s not always necessary to buy new accessories and shoes. I believe it’s more beneficial to your wardrobe to purchase classic style scarves, hats, and boots, etc. and to take care of them so they last longer. I know that sometimes we need a little refresher in our wardrobe and adding new accessories is a good way to liven things up. So I created this accessories + shoes guide to showcase some great additions to a Fall wardrobe.
I’ve mentioned in previous posts how I shop seasonally and only add pieces that are cohesive to my capsule wardrobe. I most likely do not need any new accessories but there are some I can’t resist and do plan to add. I’ve listed below some great fall finds along with some style details.
Hats
I’m pretty excited to add this Camel Felt Newsboy Hat to my very small hat collection.
This Black Felt Cloche Hat is such a simple classic style. Here is the same style with a wider brim, Black Felt Cloche Hate (wide brim).
Obsessed with this Wide Brim Fedora Hat and it’s such a great color to add to a Fall/Winter wardrobe.
Scarves
I own a ton of scarves so I typically only add one scarf a year. Loving all three of these but still debating on which one I need. Might just wait till it gets a little colder to make the decision.
Navy Plaid Scarf, Beige Oblong Scarf, White Plaid Scarf.
Handbags
This Slouchy Suede Shoulder Bag comes in 5 different amazing colors and is such a cute way to accessorize a simple Fall outfit.
I like to remain handsfree for my daughter and need space for her snacks and toys so I usually stick to backpack styles like this Black Zip Top Backpack.
I hate how sometimes during the Fall and Winter seasons your outfits tend get covered up during colder days. So having an adorable statement purse like this Tortoiseshell Methacrylate Bag just brings it all together and reflects your style.
This belt bag is also a great bag for mom’s who need to remain handsfree throughout the day. It can also be the perfect bag for holiday shopping. Let’s face it, the holidays are near.
Shoes
Purchasing a decent boot for Fall/Winter is important. I like to stick to classic ankle boot styles like these Corduroy Block Heel Booties and these Brown Chelsea Boots. Take good care of your boots and they will last many many Fall seasons.
I love mixing trendy prints with a classic shoe style like these Snake Print Loafers. The loafer is a classic shoe for Fall and the snake print gives them that extra boost without being too trendy.
I recently purchased these Cognac Slip On Mules and was shocked at how well made and expensive they look and feel in person (only $22).
